39Hearing the births of him whose hand holds the wheel and the deeds he does in the world, all of them bringing good; singing the sung names that carry their meaning: let him go about unashamed, and attached to nothing. 40Vowed in this way, and with love risen in him from praising aloud the name of the one he holds dear, his mind melting, he laughs out loud, and weeps, and cries out, and sings, and dances like a madman, outside the ways of the world. 41Sky, wind, fire, water and earth, the lights, living beings, the quarters, trees and the rest, rivers and seas: all this is Hari's body. Turning to nothing else, let him bow to whatever being he meets.
42Devotion, the direct knowing of the highest Lord, and a turning away from everything else: these three come at one time to a man who gives himself over, as satisfaction, nourishment and the going of hunger come to a man eating, at each mouthful. 43So, king, in one who serves the Unfallen's feet without a break there come to be devotion, detachment, and a waking to the Bhagavan; and after that he reaches the highest peace itself.
