Verse 16

¹²As they were praising him in this way, the mighty one showed them women of a most wonderful appearance, finely adorned and busy in his service. ¹³Those attendants of the gods, seeing women who were like Sri herself given a form, were bewildered by their scent, and their own splendour was struck down by the beauty and largeness of those women. ¹⁴The lord of the lord of gods spoke to them as they bowed, and he was almost laughing: choose whichever one of these you like, one of a kind with yourselves, to be an ornament of heaven. ¹⁵Taking the order with an Om and bowing to him, the singers of the gods went back to heaven, putting Urvasi, best of the apsarases, at their head.

¹⁶They bowed to Indra, and in the assembly, with the dwellers in the three heavens listening, they told the strength of Narayana; and Sakra was astonished and afraid.
