In Treta he is red in colour and four-armed, with three girdles, his hair of gold, the three Vedas his self, and marked by the ladle, the spoon and the rest. Then men who stand firm in dharma and speak of Brahman worship him, the god who is made of all the gods, Hari, by the knowledge of the three. He is spoken of as Visnu, Sacrifice, Prsnigarbha, the god of all gods, the wide-strider, Vrsakapi, Jayanta, and him whose praise goes wide. In Dvapara the Bhagavan is dark, wearing yellow, carrying his own weapons, marked by the Srivatsa and the other signs and marks. Then, king, mortals who want to know the highest worship that Person, who is marked out as a great king, by the Veda and by the manuals.
