The banner made of the three strides, with its three flags falling; the foot that gives fear to one army and takes it from the other, the antigods' and the gods'; heaven to the good and the other thing to the base. Abundant one, Bhagavan, let that foot make clean the wrong in us who worship it. Brahma and the others who wear bodies are in his power, tormented one by another, like cattle with a cord run through the nose. May the foot of you who are time, beyond Nature and the Person, the highest Person, spread peace over us. You are the cause of this world's rising, standing and holding in, and they call you the time of the unmanifest and the living being and the great principle too. This time of yours, with its three naves, has set out on the wearing away of everything; its rush runs deep, and you are the highest Person.

From you the Person, whose power never fails, takes up his own power through her and holds the great principle as a womb holds its seed. Following her, he brought forth out of himself the golden shell of the egg, fitted about on the outside with coverings. You are the ruler of what stands still and what moves. Lord of the senses, you take in the things brought to you by the shifting of the strands that rose out of your maya, and you are not smeared by them, while others are afraid even of what they have themselves put away. His sixteen thousand wives, with the arrows of the bodiless one, with the winning half-smiles and quick glances that show a little of what they feel, with the circling brows that send out spells of love, could not with all their means churn up his senses.

What are able to kill the stains of the three worlds are your rivers: the ones that carry the nectar of your stories, and the ones that come of the washing of your feet. Those who sit in cleanness touch both those fords, the one with their ears by what is handed down, the one born of your feet by the touch of their bodies.
