11Breath mastered and seat mastered, he should yoke the mind in one place and hold it there by the practice of detachment, never slack. 12The mind that has found its footing in that lets go, slowly and slowly, the dust of its works. With clarity grown strong it shakes off passion and darkness and comes to a going out that has nothing left to burn. 13Then, with the mind shut up in the self in this way, he knows nothing outside or within, as the arrowmaker, whose whole self had gone into his arrow, did not see the king pass at his side. 14Let him go about alone and without a house, watchful, lying in a cave, unnoticed in his ways, one sage speaking little.
15Building a house is much sorrow and comes to nothing, for one whose own life is not fixed. The snake goes into a house another has made and lives there happily.
