Heaven, and the fall out of it· Verses 23–26

Having worshipped the gods here with sacrifices, the sacrificer goes to the world of heaven and there eats, like a god, the heavenly enjoyments he has earned. On a shining car heaped up by his own good works he is sung to by the gandharvas, moving among goddesses, dressed in what takes the heart. Playing with women in that car that goes wherever he wishes, hung about with nets of little bells, at ease in the pleasure grounds of the gods, he does not know that he is falling. He is glad in heaven only so long as the merit holds out. When the merit is spent he falls back down, unwilling, pushed by time.
