4Becoming small. Becoming great. Lightness of the body. Reaching, by way of the senses. Unchecked will among things heard of and things seen. Lordship, which is the setting of powers to work. 5Mastery, which is not being caught by the strands. And coming to whatever he wants. These eight powers, gentle one, are held to be mine and to belong to me by origin. 6Being without the waves while in this body. Hearing and seeing at a distance. The speed of mind. Whatever form is wanted. Entering the body of another. 7Dying when one chooses. Watching the gods at their play, and playing with them. Whatever is resolved brought fully about. A going, and a command, that nothing turns back.
8Knowing the three times. Standing free of the pairs. Full knowledge of another's mind and the rest. The checking of fire, sun, water, poison and the rest. Not being beaten. 9These powers of the yoga of holding have been spoken of in outline. Learn from me now by which holding which of them comes about, and in what way it comes.
