You are Brahman, the highest, here before us, without beginning or end, with nothing covering you: the guarding of all that is, and its standing, its passing away and its coming to be. Among beings high and low you are hard to know for those who have not made themselves ready. The brahmins, Bhagavan, serve you as you truly are. In which beings do the highest sages serve you with devotion, and so come to their full accomplishment? Tell me that. You move about hidden, the self of beings, maker of beings. Beings do not see you, though you are seeing them; they are bewildered by you. Whatever showings of power there are on the earth, in the sky, in the waters below, in the quarters, you of great power: tell them to me, since they are yours and shown by you. I bow to your lotus feet, whose feet are the holy fords.
