Hold in speech and mind· Verses 42–44

 ।

 ।

Hold in your speech; hold in your mind; hold in the breaths and hold in the senses. Hold in the self by the self, and you will not be fit for that road again. The one who works at it but does not rightly hold in speech and mind by his understanding: his vow, his austerity and his giving run out of him like water from an unbaked pot. So let a man hold in his mind, his speech and his breaths, having me for his end, with an understanding joined to devotion to me. Then the thing is brought fully to its close.
