Tap any word for its meaning.

Nobody knows its heart but me· Verses 41–43

Gayatri, Usnih and Anustubh, and Brhati and Pankti too, Tristubh, Jagati, Aticchandas, and Atyasti, Atijagati and Virat. What does it lay down? What does it declare? What does it restate and then set out as choices? No one else in the world knows the heart of this but me. It lays me down, it declares me; and it is I whom it sets out as choices and then takes away. This much is the whole meaning of all the Vedas: the word, resting upon me, restates division as being only maya, and at the end, having denied it, comes to rest.
