Bhagavan said: It is fitting, and all of it holds, in the way the brahmins speak. For those who take up my maya and then talk, what is hard to make out? It is not so as you say; what I say is so. The reason men dispute in this way is my powers, which are hard to get past. From the crossing of those powers came the difference that is the ground of all who argue. When calm and restraint have been reached it goes, and the arguing subsides after it. Because the principles enter into one another, bull among men, the counting of them as earlier and later goes as the speaker means it to go. Even in one of them the others are seen to have entered — in a principle earlier or later, all the principles, in every way.

So, for those who want these counted as earlier and later, we take whatever mouth has drawn them apart, since reasoning allows it.
