1Bhagavan said: Let him neither praise nor find fault with the natures and the works of others, seeing the whole world as of one self, made of Nature and of the Person. 2Whoever praises or blames the natures and the works of others quickly falls away from his own good, through being caught up in what is not real. 3When the bright one is overtaken by sleep, the man inside the body loses his awareness and comes to maya, or to death. So it is with the man who sees many objects. 4What is good, and what is not good, for a twoness that is no thing at all, and how much of it? What speech utters of it is untrue, and so is what the mind thinks.
5Shadows, echoes and reflections do their work, though they are not there. So the states that begin with the body give a fear that lasts as long as death does.
