26Rama, at the sea's edge, taking his stand in the yoga that belongs to the Person, joined the self to the self and gave up the world of men. 27Seeing Rama's going out, the Bhagavan, the son of Devaki, came to a fig tree and sat down in silence on the lap of the earth. 28He bore a four-armed form, shining with a light of its own, making the quarters free of darkness, like a fire without smoke; 29marked with the Srivatsa, dark as a cloud, with the brightness of heated gold, wrapped in a pair of silk garments, greatly auspicious; 30his lotus face with its beautiful smile, adorned with dark curls, his eyes as lovely as lotuses, his crocodile earrings flashing;
31shining with waistband and sacred thread, with crown and bracelets and armlets, with necklace and anklets and rings, and with the Kaustubha; 32his limbs circled by the garland of the woods, and by his own weapons in bodily shape, sitting with his right foot, red as a lotus, laid on his thigh.
