As gold is met with in many shapes, made by men with their work along the roads of business, so the Bhagavan, beyond the reach of the senses, is set out in words by people of the world and people of the Veda. As a cloud born of the sun and shown by the sun is darkness for the eye, which is itself a portion of the sun, so I-making, a quality of Brahman, is seen by Brahman and becomes the binding of a self that is a portion of Brahman. When the cloud born of the sun is torn open, the eye sees the sun, which is its own true form. So, when I-making, the limit laid upon the self, is destroyed by the wish to know, then a man remembers.

When a man with this weapon of discernment cuts the binding of the self by I-making, which is made of maya, and stands there with the Unfallen known as his own self, that, dear one, they call the last flood of all.
