35I bow to that Bhagavan, to Krsna, whose mind is never blunted, by holding whose lotus feet in thought I came through the whole of this gathering. 36By Paila and the other pupils of Vyasa, teachers of the Veda, great of soul, into how many parts were the Vedas divided? Gentle one, tell us of this. 37Brahmin, out of the space in the heart of Brahma, highest in place, whose self was gathered in, there came a sound; it is made plain by the holding back of the mind's workings. 38By waiting upon that, brahmin, yogins shake off the stain of the self, the stain that goes by the names of thing, act and doer, and go where there is no birth again.
39Out of that came the three-fold Om, which arose from what is not shown and shines of itself. That is the mark of the Bhagavan, of Brahman, the supreme Self.
