The cowherd girls, to Kṛṣṇa: What is this that has come upon us here? Alas, how did you find your way to this pond? Great One crowned with sweet tulasi heavy with honey, Wondrous One, our nectar: since it has not been ordained for us, we will not consent to union with you. Clever child, do not be hasty. You who leapt onto the serpent [Kāḷiya] and danced on it, give us our clothes from the kuruntam tree.
