In plain words
The poet, of the fruit of this decad: 'Dark cuckoo, call my ocean-coloured one so that I may see him with my own eyes, the mighty youth whose stride stretched up until it reached the sky': this word the spear-eyed maiden spoke in longing, and Kōtai, daughter of Paṭṭarpirāṉ [Periyāzhvār], lord of Putuvai, home of those who chant the four Vedas set to melody, told it. Those who master this delightful garland of words will say 'Namō Nārāyaṇāya' [and serve him as his own close servants].
