In plain words

The cowherd girls, to Kṛṣṇa, as he walks to his throne: You who that day measured this world [for the gods], long live your feet! You who went there [to Rāvaṇa's land] and destroyed southern Laṅkā, long live your might! You who kicked the cart [the demon Śakaṭa] till it broke apart, long live your fame! You who flung the calf [a demon] as a throwing stick [at the demon in the wood-apple tree], long live your anklet-bound feet! You who lifted the hill [Gōvardhana] as an umbrella, long live your gracious qualities! Long live the spear in your hand that conquers and destroys the enemy! So wishing you well, over and over, praising your valour alone, we have come today to receive the drum. Have mercy on us. Take it up and heed it, girl of ours.
