गुरुकार्यंनलंघेत ।नापृष्ट्वाकार्यमाचरेत् ॥नह्युत्तिष्ठेद्दिशेऽनत्वा ।गुरुसद्भावशोभितः ॥

Let him not pass over the guru's work, nor set about a task without having asked. He is not to rise without first bowing towards the guru's direction, he whose adornment is true feeling for the guru.
