Guru Gītā

Śiva answers Pārvatī: who the guru is, how a disciple serves, and why the guru is to be saluted as brahman itself. 274 verses, with the dhyāna said before them, each word glossed.

274 Verses, a maṅgalam, a viniyoga, nine dhyāna verses, a mālā-mantra and a closing attribution

Reading plan

A practical grouping, not a received parāyaṇa: the 274 verses read over a week, following the edition’s own ten topical divisions rather than a fixed verse count. The Guru Gītā’s own tradition is a full daily recitation; no citable weekly schedule survives for this 274-verse recension.
