ज्ञानलुप्तानकर्तव्या ।महापापास्तथाप्रिये ॥एभ्योभिन्नोगुरुःसेव्यः ।एकभक्त्याविचार्यच ॥

and those whose jñāna is lost are not to be taken as gurus, nor great sinners, beloved. A guru other than these is the one to be served, with a single bhakti and after looking into the matter.
