In plain words

In my house there is thread, and every day I stretch the warp; at your neck hangs the sacred thread. You read out the Vedas and the Gāyatrī; Gōbind is inside my heart. My tongue is Viṣṇu, my eyes are Nārāyaṇ, and in my heart Gōbindā lives. At Death's door, when he questions you, madman, what will you say then, O Mukand? *(refrain)* We are the cattle, you the cowherd, Gusāīṅ, our keeper birth after birth. Not once have you taken us across and put us out to graze. What kind of master are you? You are a Brahmin; I am a weaver of Kāśī. Take the measure of my knowing. You go begging at the doors of kings; my mind is fixed on Hari.
