In plain words
He keeps the fast to win Allah over, and for the taste of it he kills what lives. He sees himself and does not see anyone else: what is all this flailing for? Qāzī, the one Master is inside you and he is yours, and you neither think nor look. You make no enquiry, madman of the dīn, and so your birth counts for nothing. *(refrain)* The katēb speaks the truth: Allah is neither woman nor man. Reading and reciting bring you nothing, madman, if the news does not reach the heart. Allah the hidden is inside every body: take it into your heart and turn it over there. In Hindu and Turk, in both of them, there is the One. Kabīr calls it out.
