In plain words

Praise and blame, keep the two of them away; let go of pride and self-regard. Those who know iron and gold for one and the same, they are the image of Bhagavān. Hardly one, hardly the half of one, is a servant of yours. Lust, anger, greed and attachment all kept away: that one makes out the state of Hari. *(refrain)* The raj guṇ, the tam guṇ, the sat guṇ, so they are named, and all of this is your māyā. The man who makes out the fourth state, he is the one who has found the highest state. Pilgrimage, fasting, vows, purity, restraint: through all of them he stays without desire. The thirst and the māyā and the delusion have gone, for his thought is on Ātam Rām. In the house where a lamp has been lit, the darkness inside it is gone. The Fearless One fills it all, and the delusion has run away. Says Kabīr, the servant of his servants. *Ātam Rām*, Rām as the self within.
