In plain words

Who helps the mind, if not Hari? Mother, father, brother, son, wife: the love of them all is the love of a serpent's hood. *(refrain)* Tie yourself some raft for what lies ahead; what trust can you put in wealth? What faith can you put in this pot? One small knock and it cracks. Take the fruit of every dharam and every act of merit: long for the dust of all his servants. Says Kabīr, listen, saints: this mind is a bird of the woods, up and gone.
