In plain words
First Allah made the light, and all of us are creatures of his power. From one light the whole world rose. Who then is good, and who is bad? People, do not lose yourselves in delusion, brother. The Creator is in the creation and the creation in the Creator; he fills every place. *(refrain)* The clay is one, and the maker has shaped it a hundred ways. There is nothing wrong with the clay pots, and nothing wrong with the potter. In everything is that one True One, and all that is done is his doing. Whoever recognises the *hukam* knows the One, and he is the one you may call a servant. Allah cannot be traced; he does not come into sight. The Guru put the sweetness in my mouth. Says Kabīr, my doubt is gone. I have seen the Stainless One in everything. *hukam*, the order that holds things as they are. In the last verse *gur* is molasses, which sounds the same as *guru*: what the Guru gave him was the sweetness itself.
