In plain words

The poet, telling of Rāma of Tillai Citrakūṭam: He killed Virādha, whose tall, mountain-like shoulders bent down the strength of his foes; he received the well-bound bow that the great sage of rich Tamil [Agastya] gave him; he cut off the nose of the rākṣasī [Śūrpaṇakhā] whose glance outdid a deer's; he took the lives of Khara and Dūṣaṇa; and he bent his bow and shot so that the deer [Mārīca] fell dead. Because those who can bow their heads, join their hands and praise him in Tiruccitrakūṭam in the town of Tillai walk about upon it, this earth itself is rich in merit.
