In plain words

O parrots, you who have the gift of staying on Kailāsa, the crescent-touched hill of Ēkampaṉ, whose goodness and beauty never shift! O field! Suffering the sorrow of parting, my mind too ran here, bowed down, and went. Tell it, unwearied, to the man of the hills. And give me too, your servant, leave to go.

Line by line

Of unshifting goodness and beauty, Ēkampaṉār's crescent-touched Kailāsa without moving away to stay, O parrots who have the gift; O field; of parting by the sorrow suffering, my mind too ran here, bowed, and went; unwearied, tell it to the man of the hills; and to me, your servant, give leave.
