In plain words

This hand shot the three cities great in their pride. It swung the axe blade, pressing Brahmā's head so that it was severed and fell away. Such is the holy hand of the Father, Ēkampar of Kanchi, where the paddy always grows plump: it graciously wears armlets made of the coils of his snakes.

Line by line

The three cities great in their pride he shot; Ayaṉ's head pressing so that it was severed and went, it swung the axe blade; where paddy always grows plump, Kanchi's Ēkampar, the Father's; of his snakes the coils, with them made and graciously worn, the armleted holy hand indeed.
