In plain words

You who took the hide of the killing tiger as the garment for your sides! While your goblin hosts hold your parasol, you came to take alms. While the broad lotuses hold up their flower parasols, you took Ēkampam in watered Kanchi as your temple. And here you have come to take the garment that clasps the waist. Today we give way.

Line by line

You who took the hide of the killing tiger as the garment for your sides; your goblin hosts hold the parasol, you came to take alms; while broad lotuses hold up flower parasols, you took Ēkampam in watered Kanchi as your temple; here, the garment that clasps the waist to take, you came; we give way, today.
