In plain words

Beginning with the flower-born one, who rose high having understood what is real, the abiding lives that move in bodies whose companion is darkness differ, one from another, in form and in awareness, in height and in lowliness, in fortune and in strength and in the kinds of work they do, and they never part from their viṉai. In that unlike multitude, their ways of life rise in you like the great waves of the abiding sea, and come to be in you, swelling and shrinking, moving away and appearing. Mingling with them, you stood apart in shining clarity. O Lord of Oṟṟiyūr, whose ancient fame never ceases! O First one, whose body never ages! Unless those who have received your grace know it, would others know the bewildering mystery within you?

Beginning with the flower-born one who rose high having understood the real, the abiding lives that move in bodies with darkness as companion, in form and in awareness, in height and in lowliness, in fortune and in strength and in the kinds of work they do, becoming different and different, and not parting from viṉai, in the unlike multitude, their conduct, like the great waves in the abiding sea, rising in you and coming to be in you, swelling and shrinking, moving away and appearing, mingling, you stood apart, in shining clarity. O Lord of Oṟṟiyūr of unceasing ancient fame, O First one of unageing body, your grace unless those who received it know, would others know the bewildering mystery within you?
