In plain words

Yaśōdā begs the child: "You of the lovely belly, who made the worlds so that souls might be saved and then swallowed them to keep them safe; Supreme beyond the supreme, who age after age, through many ages, lay gently in the sleep of yoga on a banyan leaf; you with long lotus eyes and a body dark as kohl: taking care that your chest, home of the lady of the red lotus, stays safe, and with your ears and their shark-shaped earrings, signs of rich fortune, shining bright, my lord, dance the ceṅkīrai for me once [the dance in which a mother moves the baby's limbs]! Fighting bull of the herdsmen, dance, oh dance!"
