In plain words
The poet, of the fruit of this decad: Viṭṭucittaṉ, praised by the Vēyar [brahmins], has told with all its glory how the one coloured like kohl, who came and was born in the clan of the herdsmen, walked his toddling walk, so that his mothers rejoiced and his foes lost heart; those who can recite these songs will have children who bow at the feet of Māyaṉ, coloured like a sapphire.
