In plain words
Yaśōdā calls the child for the evening rite of protection: "Indra, Brahmā, Īśa [Rudra] and all the gods have come bringing great flowers hallowed with sacred hymns, and stand over there, neither near nor far, hidden from sight. You who stand at Veḷḷaṟai, where the moon rests on the mansions and those skilled in blessing you dwell, this is the hour of twilight: handsome one, come and let me perform the rite of protection over you [the twilight rite that guards your beauty from the evil eye]!"
