In plain words
The poet, of the fruit of this decad: Rāvaṇa, relying on those huge boons as his strength, rose up roaring for war, and the Lord whose wealth is valour fought him on the field until he was undone and destroyed him; on that Lord's sacred town Viṭṭucittaṉ set out this Tamil garland that names Tiruvaraṅgam in every verse. We are the servants of those who take it up and can praise him who burned up the bodies of the two [Madhu and Kaiṭabha, with Ādiśeṣa's hot breath].
