In plain words

The poet, of Araṅgam: The Bridegroom [Azhakiya Maṇavāḷaṉ] sat in state in the city called Dvārakā as lord of his sixteen thousand queens, who served him; the temple where he abides for ever is Araṅgam of the waters, where a fresh lotus, blossomed that very day, wishing to be like the flower in our Lord's beautiful navel, fancies it holds control over all, swells with pride and casts down the beauty of the other lotuses.
