In plain words
The poet, of Araṅgam: [To show Nārada his greatness] he became the tortoise [in the Gaṅgā], the Gaṅgā, the deep sea, the earth, the great mountains, the four-faced one [Brahmā], the four Vedas, the sacrifice and its fee, and himself too [granting each what it desires]; the temple of the one who reclines so that Nārada, secure in a mind fixed on the Lord, comes again and again to praise him and bow down, is Araṅgam of the waters, where flocks of birds settle among the flowers and babble the fame of their king [Garuḍa].
