In plain words

One who once sought wealth, now reformed, to the Lord: O Tirumāl, like Celva Nampi, Apimāṉatuṅkaṉ [great in his pride of being your servant], lord of the people of Tirukkōṭṭiyūr, an ornament to the world, in whom there is no wrong dealing at all, I too am your servant from of old. Saying "Namō Nārāyaṇā" in the right way and praising your many names, I sing "many years" to you, O you who make us pure in many ways.
