In plain words
The poet, of the Lord's feet: As a little child lying on the lovely lap of the four-faced one [Brahmā], master of the rare Vedas studied with care, he counted with his foot the flower-garlanded heads of the sword-bearing demon [Rāvaṇa], heads fit to be cut off, as "three, and seven" [to show Brahmā who had come for his boons]: those lotus feet of his are our faultless refuge.
