In plain words
The poet, to his heart: O my good heart, can the gods [Brahmā and the rest] know the gracious nature of him who, with his foot, counted the long heads of the cruel demon [Rāvaṇa], the one who had bowed at the feet of the great ascetic who dwells on the lotus [Brahmā]? Let that rest; it is we who can know it.
