Amutaṉār, to Rāmānuja: I have kept no holy vow; I have not even asked for the subtle, rare hearing [of the sacred meanings] by which one comes to praise your feet. O Rāmānuja, whose fame is hard to reckon even for poets of the true scriptures, today you have entered and stand within my eyes and within my heart: tell me the reason for this.
