In plain words

What her Lord is worth, the wedded wife knows. She sets pride down and takes her ease and her delight. She gives him body and mind and keeps no distance from him. She looks at no other, she hears no other, she speaks of no other. How would that one know another's pain, who has found no ache of his own inside him? *(refrain)* Wretched is the cast-off wife, and she has neither side left to her. She never kept the bhagati of her Lord unbroken. The road over the Pul Salāt is a hard one. No company, no companion: she goes alone. A man in sorrow, a man in pain, has come to the door. His thirst is great and he has had no answer. Says Ravidās, I am at your shelter, Prabh. Bring my state to whatever end you know best. *Pul Salāt*, the bridge over the fire that the dead must cross.
