In plain words

Though he bathe at the sixty-eight places of pilgrimage, though he worship at the twelve stones, though he have wells and tanks dug and given away, if he slanders, all of it goes for nothing. How is the man who slanders a sādhū to cross over? Know it for certain, he falls into hell and nowhere else. *(refrain)* Though he keep the eclipse at Kurukshetra, though he give his wife away with her ornaments on her, though he hear all the Simritis with his own ears, if he slanders, none of it counts for anything. Even if he has feast after feast made ready, gives land away and takes the honour of the pavilion, he spoils what is his own and patches up what belongs to another. If he slanders, he will wander through birth after birth. Why do you slander, world? The slanderer's whole trade lies out in the open. The slanderer has been examined, tested and thought over. Says Ravidās, the sinner has gone off to hell.
