Those who say Hari over: the Lord of the lotus, the Lord of Kailāsh, not one of them weighs level. The One became many and spread himself out; here and there and everywhere, it is he who fills it all. *(refrain)* The man who writes the Bhāgavat out and looks at nothing else: his caste is *chhīpā*, not to be touched. He is written down in Vyās, he is seen in Sanak, and the fame of the Name has gone over the seven islands. Whose people keep Īd and Bakrīd, who kill the cow, who honour shaikhs and martyrs and pīrs: whose father did that kind of work, and see what the son came to: Kabīr, known in all three worlds. Whose family are *ḍhēḍh*, the whole of them still going about with dead cattle all round Banaras: and Brahmins strict in their observance bow flat before that family's son, Ravidās, the servant of servants. *chhīpā*, the caste that prints and dyes cloth; *ḍhēḍh*, a name for those who handle dead animals.
