In plain words

The poet, to the people of the world: Long ago the four-faced one [Brahmā] laid a curse on Hara [for plucking off one of his heads], and Nārāyaṇa himself removed it here on earth for all to see. O senseless ones who will not praise that Lord of the eternal ones [nityasūris]: were one to tell the strange sufferings of the womb you will be born from, it would run as long as an epic.
