In plain words
The poet, to the Lord: O Flawless One, whose feet, as the Vedas ordain, are fit for worship, and are worshipped by Śiva of the dense red matted hair bound with a garland of koṉṟai thick with pollen! The masters of the Veda, rich in auspicious qualities, who chant the Sāman at their sacrifices never straying from what is laid down, and who have heard [the Veda] rightly, worship you as it is ordained: the nature of being worshipped so is found in you alone.
