The poet, to the Lord: You are the First, ruler of the gods who are first as creators within the cosmos, and of the foremost eternal attendants [nityasūris] beyond it [in Paramapadam]. You decree the end-time of the dwellers of the upper worlds [Brahmā and the rest], creators though they are. O ruler of that first time [of the deluge], who can see you?
