The poet, to the Lord: Through the word [the Veda] you are the bond [to the lasting good]; you are the one the word speaks of [as the soul within the gods]; you are the light that shines beyond the reach of any word. Those who appeared [in your navel, Brahmā and the rest] as you created them, so that they might create the world by the word you gave: can they tell your auspicious qualities in words, even in brief?
