In plain words
The poet, to the Lord: You are the soul within male and female, ruling them, and within those that are neither, and the good among them all; you rule taste, sound and touch; you rule primal matter, never one thing but turning into everything; you became the cowherd who tends the cows; you were false to the false [Duryōdhana and his kind] and true to the true [the Pāṇḍavas]; and you became the boy-student [Vāmana] who cherished the earth to protect it. O thief, who went there in disguise!
