In plain words

The poet, to the Lord: O you who bear the discus that cut down Kālanemi that day, when he came against you in wrath, so that he went to join Death, and the conch, the mace, the bow and the sword! My heart has no love for anything but your fame for helping in danger: that day long ago, to end the danger that had come upon the herds, you held up the mountain before them all.
